The book is going to be released soon. Everything I read about marketing says, find your voice and you'll find your tribe. Find my voice. Jesus, what does that MeAN? I get it, you know, but what does it really MEAN? I have a voice. I've found it along the way. And I make room for other voices so I will never be a hard and fast clear the grounds and make room for the tower of my voice kinda gal. I value the diversity of experience. So what is my voice? I did what I always do, I Googled, "Finding your voice". I imagined as I typed it into the search field that the very fact I was searching it suggests I have a lot of work to do. I found an article on accidentalcreative.com that offered some insight. Here are the 10 questions it suggests I reflect on one by one in a journal that may help me DIScover my own voice:
What angers you?
What makes you cry?
What have you mastered?
What gives you hope?
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
If you had all the time and money in the world, what would you do?
What would blow your mind?
What platform do you own?
What change would you like to see in the world?
If you had one day left, how would you spend it?
