God in the Profane & Profound

It has been said, “If you don’t find God in the profane and the profound you are missing half the story. That is a great Truth. God is in the sadness and the laughter. God is in the bitter and the sweet. There is a Divine purpose behind everything and therefore a Divine presence IN everything.” — Conversations with God, Book 1

This feels true to me. I see God everywhere. Profound and Profane. Wealth and Poverty. I see and feel God most acutely in sadness.

I always have.

My heart’s greatest desire is to hold the hand of sadness and walk with its willingness into the light of hope.

It’s always been.
